Ooops...
we fell behind in our blogging. It's been crazy busy...but we have managed to get checked in for last week's challenges. Challenge #9 was for the partners to use colors opposite each other on the color wheel. I chose this purple color and Bonnie did one with yellows. I think we also had to use a certain number of elements or something like that. The thing I liked about it was that I was able to do a layout that I would be able to actually print out for Erica's album.
Challenge #12 was posted early and it's already causing problems. It is a hybrid project, create a card and matching envelope. People are whining that they don't have color printers or that they are not going to waste paper and ink for something they are just going to throw out. I can see the problem for people who don't have color printers (or if they are like I often am...out of ink!). But really people, do you not ever send a birthday card to someone???? Anyway, I'm excited about this one. I have lots of ideas, who knows, I may make several!!!
Challenge 10 was an "intersection" so we each had to work on one layout. Bonnie finished it and I'm sure she'll get it posted here soon.
Challenge 11 wasn't all that challenging, but it was totally fun. It was a template that you had to rearrange. Again it could be any subject so I was able to make another layout that will get printed!!!

Women Are Always Beautiful
Oh I just loved this challenge! I knew right away that I wanted this one to say something, I just didn't know what, lol! It took a couple of days and the hand of God to bring this one to me. I love watching Him work!!!!
I also have the best friends and family in the world to let me share their beautiful faces with everyone! Thank you, ladies!!!!
Someday we will all believe we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14
Challenge 8
The requirement for challenge 8 was to use the word "someday" somewhere in the layout. Here is mine. I am thrilled that this is one of the few challenges that I have done that I will actually print for an album.
Someday we’ll look back on our first camping trip & laugh. It rained the entire time we were there & and the boys couldn’t sleep in the tent. We ended up leaving our stuff and going home at 4 AM.

While I'm living life
Our challenge for #7 was to scrap our bucket list! I didn't have a bucket list, thankfully they only required 50 things, not 100. I cheated a little though, I googled "bucket list"and found a website that had over 400 ideas. I only took a few straight from their list, but it was great for getting me thinking.
I was a little surprised at some of the things I put on my list, like being able to identify by sight and sound all the birds that visit our backyard or go spelunking (exploring a cave)...things I think would be SO COOL to do but never really seriously thought about them.
Other things I've wanted to do, but never really put my mind to doing them, like learning Spanish or playing piano better. Now that I have a real list I'm going to see how many I can cross off while I'm living life.
I can't wait to see what makes it onto Bonnie's list.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
For challenge 5 I could not find anything related to chocolate to scrap so I decided to bake chocolate chip cookies. I'm always looking for an excuse to bake so it worked out well for me. Plus, Colby and Jacob got a real treat because it was the first chocolate chip cookie they have ever had. They have had so little junk food in their lives, and chocolate only once or twice, that they didn't even know what to do with the cookie:) They each ate about half and left were "Ahh done"
